Aster

Aster was found running the streets of a small town in New Mexico. A lovely Border Collie mix she is about 1 year old and 35 pounds. Aster was clearly chased away and abused by people. She barks at strangers and is afraid of being trapped in tight spaces and doorways. She cries if you take her by the collar.

Now, with time and care, Aster is flourishing in her foster home with plenty of other dog friends. She really needs a confident dog with her to take the lead and build her confidence.

She gets along great with kids and other dogs, respects cats and has quite the playful side. She will self entertain with chew toys or a ball, and loves to play chase and wrestle. We are working with her on hand shyness and getting her used to a collar and leash.

Aster especially loves scratches behind her ears and under her chin. She would love to sit next to you on the couch all day and be hugged and loved.
