Oscar

Denver, CO

Meet Oscar, a young Aussie who came to us with his brother Oliver as strays from Arkansas.

Life has not been kind to him until now. A social boy he does well with people and other dogs. Oscar is very typical Aussie. Smart, active, athletic and funny.

Oscar is very underweight from being starved. Given this, he is fine with people touching his food but will have none of the other dogs around while he is eating. Due to his rough upbringing, he should not go to a family with small children.,

He walks well on leash but is reactive when he sees other dogs and barks. We will start working on redirecting him since he is highly food motivated.

He loves to snuggle and be right next to his person. Right now he weighs 32 pounds and should gain another 10 pounds to reach a healthy weight. The shelter estimated his age at 9 months old.

His beautiful red coat is a mess from running loose outside for a very long time but with time and good nutrition it should improve.

Please submit an application if you would like to learn more about this sweet boy.

Given time on a good diet and continued grooming, Oscar will bloom into a beautiful dog.
